CoConstruct to JobTread Data Migration

CoConstruct is being retired into Buildertrend, but you don't have to follow it there. With your authorization, we pull your data out of CoConstruct ourselves and rebuild every job, open and closed, fully inside JobTread, mapped down to every field and number. No side archive, nothing left behind.

100+ data migrations

Completed in the last 3 years, for some of the largest contractors in North America.

Live in 3 to 4 weeks

With the final cutover run over a weekend, well ahead of the 2027 cutoff.

Why now

CoConstruct has a deadline.Move on your terms, not theirs.

Buildertrend bought CoConstruct in 2021 and is moving every CoConstruct customer onto Buildertrend. Here's what that means for you.

February 2021

Buildertrend acquires CoConstruct.

March 31, 2027

The last day new projects can be added in CoConstruct.

June 30, 2027

According to Buildertrend's notices to CoConstruct customers, moves to Buildertrend must begin by this date. Check the notice in your own account for your exact dates.

After the cutoff, your old projects stay viewable, but you can't run new work in CoConstruct. Read-only history isn't a working system.

If JobTread is the better fit for how you build, move while your account is fully live. Most of our migrations take 3 to 4 weeks, so starting early means you're running in JobTread well before the deadline.

The export problem

Getting data out of CoConstruct is easy.Getting it into JobTread right isn't.

CoConstruct's exports were built for keeping records, not for moving into a new system. Your data comes out per project, spread across zip files, web pages and spreadsheets, and the parts that matter most don't load into JobTread on their own.

01

Selections are tied to your budget

In CoConstruct, selection prices feed the estimate and the budget. Move one without the other and your numbers stop matching.

02

Budgets and estimates export separately

They come out one project at a time, as spreadsheets, apart from the rest of the job.

03

Bulk downloads skip files and photos

CoConstruct's multi-project download leaves them out, so photos and documents have to be pulled job by job and re-attached to the right job.

04

Messages and schedules aren't import-ready

Client conversations, schedules and logs come out as pages to read, not records JobTread can load.

That's the part we handle. With your authorization, we pull everything out of CoConstruct ourselves and rebuild it inside JobTread, mapped down to every field and number, then verify it with you before go-live.

How it works

A proven process, built for accuracy

Every CoConstruct migration follows the same five steps, and nothing reaches JobTread until you've signed off on it.

  1. 1

    Discovery

We review your CoConstruct account, how you use selections, budgets and the client portal, and your JobTread go-live date.

  2. 2

    Mapping

Every field, custom field and record type is mapped from CoConstruct to JobTread, and you approve the plan.

  3. 3

    Sample migration

We migrate a few sample jobs first, selections and budgets included, so you can check them in JobTread.

  4. 4

    Full migration

Your complete history moves over. The final cutover takes a couple of days over a weekend, so your team keeps working.

  5. 5

    Verification

We check JobTread against CoConstruct, job by job, so you go live with no duplicates and nothing out of place.

Before you start

We'll walk you through it on discovery.

  • Close out finished projects
  • Merge duplicate clients
  • Update your trade partner list
  • List your active jobs and their stage

FAQ

CoConstruct to JobTread questions

When is CoConstruct shutting down?

CoConstruct is being retired into Buildertrend. CoConstruct's migration page says new projects can be added through March 31, 2027. According to Buildertrend's notices to customers, moves to Buildertrend must begin by June 30, 2027. You'll keep read access to past projects, but new work has to run somewhere else.

Do I have to move to Buildertrend?

No. Buildertrend is the default path, not the only one. Many custom builders and remodelers move to JobTread instead, and we migrate your CoConstruct data into it.

Who can migrate my CoConstruct data into JobTread?

Josh No Code. We're Certified JobTread Partners, and CoConstruct to JobTread is one of our most common migrations. With your authorization, we pull the data out of CoConstruct ourselves and rebuild it inside JobTread, mapped down to every field and number.

What data can you move from CoConstruct to JobTread?

Projects, clients and contacts, trade partners and suppliers, estimates and proposals, budgets and cost items, specs and selections, invoices and payments, schedules, time entries, daily logs, templates, photos and documents, messages and notes, project statuses, and custom fields.

Do my completed and closed jobs move into JobTread too?

Yes. Every job, open and closed, is rebuilt fully inside JobTread with its financials, photos, files and messages. Nothing is pushed off to a separate archive.

Will my selections and budgets match after the move?

Yes. In CoConstruct, selections feed your estimate and budget, so we map them together and check them in a sample migration before the full run.

Can I just export my data from CoConstruct myself?

You can download it, but the export is split by project across zip files, web pages and spreadsheets, budgets export separately, and bulk downloads leave out files and photos. None of it loads into JobTread as is. We turn it into clean, linked JobTread records.

How long does a CoConstruct to JobTread migration take?

Most take 3 to 4 weeks from start to finish. The final cutover takes a couple of days and runs over a weekend, so downtime is kept to a minimum.

When should I start to beat the 2027 deadline?

Now is best, while your CoConstruct account is fully active. Starting early leaves plenty of time to finish before new projects stop on March 31, 2027.

How much does it cost to migrate from CoConstruct to JobTread?

Pricing is a one-time setup fee plus a charge per job migrated, so the cost scales with how much data you're moving. Request your migration plan and we'll send you a quote.

Is my data secure during the migration?

Yes. We use secure data handling protocols to keep your information safe and confidential every step of the way, and your data is never shared.
